Established in 2007, the NMC Specialty Hospital, Al Ain is a multi-specialty hospital providing quality and trusted healthcare services to the people of Al Ain and the surrounding areas, offering a wide range of services in various specialties and super-specialties.
The hospital has forged strategic partnerships with Germany’s prestigious University Freiburg Klinikum as well as tie-ups with leading international hospitals such as the London Clinic (UK) and the Universitätsspital Zürich (Switzerland).
Challenge
- Replacement of the obsolete Canadian nursecall and display solution, reusing the available infrastructure at maximum.
Solution
- Most existing cabling was reused and all was individually programmed towards 4 different stations.

- Perfect individual installation and programation in line with the hospital’s high standards.

Challenge
Replacement of the obsolete Canadian nursecall and display solution, at minimal interference. Features and functionality of the new system should be similar and exceeding the know solution, while reusing the available infrastructure at maximum and interrupting daily activities at minimum.
Solution
Because iCall has difference range solutions, the end-user had the choice between our EU-range (according to CE & VDE0834-01/02 regulations), our US-range (UL1069-listed) and our wireless range. As the previous solution was Canadian, it was opted for our USA-range, with a complete flexible and individual programation (location, routing, escalation, etc.) of each single iCall unit, in combination with tactile touch screen displays in the nurse stations.
Result
A perfectly tailor-made installation with an easy and swift installation, fitting the high standards of both the NMC staff and its visitors. Another appealing reference site in the GCC-region.
